Waiting For
The work is an investigation around the connection between the movements of the human body and how machines interpret this movement into the digital space. Seeing how machines interpret the movement of the human body, how they convert this visual data into projected visuals can help us understand how our actions in the real world, such as movement, can influence the digital landscape around us.
Waiting For is a live projection installation piece using multiple sensors and software to track people movement through a space. The artwork projects a live feed of this movement that is occurring in the space onto semi-transparent paper that is hanging in the room. The visuals are a live video transmission while the sound is a constant ambient drone that slowly changes over time.
